A B O U T U S
The Fisher Home is a gracious, residential home in North Amherst, Massachusetts, offering compassionate care to people in the final months of life. The single-story home is nestled in a delightful garden. Six individually furnished single bedrooms are combined with semi-private baths. A cozy living room is next to a generous dining room. The professional kitchen and laundry are fully equipped. Special places are the well-appointed library and the gazebo. Birdfeeders near every window provide winged companionship. The Fisher Home is fully handicapped accessible.
Under the 24-hour gentle care of qualified hospice staff and volunteers, our residents can spend their last days in comfort and dignity, living life fully to its end. We at The Fisher Home offer palliative, rather than curative treatments, which neither hastens nor postpones death. It affirms life and regards dying as a normal part of our human experience.
We also provide short-term respite care for patients, so that families/caregivers may have some rest.
Our Mission:
The primary mission of Hospice of the Fisher Home is to establish and maintain a program to enable terminally ill people to live and die with dignity.
