After morning Mass the “Gesuiti” church was taken over by nuns. Nora took walking tours of the Jewish Ghetto and of Santa Croce before a vaporetto ride down the Grand Canal. The afternoon and evening provided some playtime chasing pigeons near the Street of Death, and then dinner (calamari) by the San Lorenzo Canal before boarding a couchette for an overnight train to Bari.
