A busy day that began with a trip to Castel Sant’Angelo and a tour of the castle. Nora then walked to Piazza Navona and on to Piazza Minerva and visited Santa Maria Sopra Minerva. After that visit she went to the Gesu church to see its trompe l’oeuil dome. A walk to the ancient Marmatino prison found it closed until December so she strolled along the Forum before a rest in the hotel room. Lessons in perspective continued with a trip to San Ignazio’s rooms where she met a Jesuit priest who blessed her. A tour of the Gesu church was follwed by a climb up the Esquiline Hill to San Pietro in Vincoli where she saw Michelangelo’s Moses. A climb of the Oppian Hill led to the Domus area and a playground.
